Dan .... who? Just kiddin'. No idea.
Casual local joint - appeared to be the only restaurant open in town for lunch on a Wednesday in September. The mixed berry pie was definitely the highlight of our visit. Delicious. Soup of the day was cream of broccoli, which was also tasty. The cheese in the grilled cheese was not great (tasted like American), despite ordering cheddar.
We ate here several times while staying in the area. Their food is delicious, their desserts are divine! The staff is friendly and we felt welcome there. They offer specials that are different almost every day- great variety Reasonably priced family restaurant.
I've ate there twice now. The wait staff was fast and courteous but the food took forever and was only OK for the price
My new favorite place dining spot in Stonington. Casual, clean, comfortable, cozy and delicious. Huge serving of steamed mussels! Broiled Haddock dinner and fried clams paired with fried Haddock was perfectly prepared.
Great variety of breakfast items with a good staff. I haven't tried lunch or dinner but here that's good as well.
Excellent haddock and seafood chowders. Bowls are easily big enough for a main.
Consistently good food. Great hours for Stonington. Dependable go-to for visitors and locals alike, and the pies are great.
Steamed mussels, haddock chowder and a biscuit on a rainy afternoon could not have been better. A 4 star winner with attentive staff. Wow
Nice cafe, really good food,
Only place in the state that won’t get greedy with lobster prices.
Unbelievable friendly staff and great service. Awesome lobster. Market prices were the best here by far. But the best thing was the home made onion rings. They were great.
Good food and good portions and good service
Good local spot for basic eats. Food is good, portions big. The staff is friendly and service is fast. They will customize and accommodate orders reasonably. The offer gluten free menu items too if you require a gluten free diet. We regularly visit as a family.
Enjoyed a generous and delicious scallop roll. This is reliably good homestyle cooking.
Hit or miss. Breakfeast is great.
Great Lobster rolls and soups!
Had breakfast. Eggs, bacon, wheat toast and coffee. Very good. Service was good. Kitchen backed up but not excessive wait.
Great "shore dinner". Steamers cooked properly as was the lobster. Service friendly and attentive. Recommend the blueberry pie. Priced right for informal dining!
Sweet community loved cafe in the largest lobster port in the world. Lobster, haddock clams shrimp, burgers, spaghetti and deserts made in house including whoopie pie. Hard liquor too :-)
Very good excellent service.enjoyed eceeything.will go back again
Love the food and homey atmosphere. Friendly people.
I just got a cup of corned beef and cabbage soup to go. Delicious! Nice staff.
Fast, friendly service, with great food and generous portions. Reasonable prices capped off a pleasant dining experience.
Good food. good service. very quaint.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Rainy afternoon visit was perfect for clam chowder. Generous clams and flavourful broth. Fish and chips were delicious! The fish was tender and the breading was light and not greasy. Service was good.
Great place to stop in for bfast and great local food
Great casual family place. Large menu, something for everyone. Good food and service!
Good food and large servings with a casual dinner feel. Excellent food and friendly service.
Down to earth, excellent local food, nice folks. The crab melt with Swiss on sourdough is last meal food. Honest, it really is that good! The pie list is extensive, but be warned: the blueberry goes fast.
Where the locals !!! Home cooked food great seafood dayly specials
Lukewarm food. The seafood stew lacked seafood. I was expecting big chunks of fish but the only thing big was the potatoes. Oh, and it was lukewarm. The pie was good, but not great, and way overpriced at $7.28 per slice. I would not recommend this place. The highlight was the appetizer- loved the bacon wrapped scallops!
Vacationing in the area from NJ and came here for lunch on a Sunday! This place sure is busy, and you can tell this is a popular place with the locals. Staff was friendly and the food was delish! My husband loves lobster rolls and he said that this place had it down right! This is the way they should be made! Very happy with our visit here! This is the best lobster roll that we have ever had!
Delicious fish and chips! Friendly staff and clean restaurant.
Food was good and so was the service. Prices aren't bad either.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Good choice of beer.
Amazing as always!
This is where the homeboys go when the tourists leave for the day. Two lobsters (& 2sides) for$25! Good folks, Good prices, Good grub.
Wow what a great place. Delicious seafood chowder chock full of seafood. The fried haddock sandwich was recommended to me and was fantastic. They even have Moxie soda for the nostalgic among us. Great service too. Next to town hall.
This is the place the locals eat Nothing fancy but locals cooking and serving local food. The food is not fancy or expensive. There is a wide menu of the usual lobster, clams and mussels, but also sandwiches and burgers. I recommend the specials. I had haddock hash (fresh haddock, bacon, potatoes) and a Greek salad (made with spinach) for lunch, and baked stuffed haddock and an out of this world home made blueberry pie for dinner.I did not give it 5 stars because the haddock was a bit over cooked. But overall I recommend it as a great place if you are hungry and want some real Maine dining.
My favorite restaurant in Maine, and my family loves it too! Everyone is very friendly and the food is great and well priced.
It's where the locals go. One of the few area restaurants open all year round. Friday night fish fry can't be beat. Daily specials. Full bar. Fresh local seafood. Vegetable sides are canned. Fries and some entrees are frozen. Good crab and lobster rolls. Scallop stew is either a great hit or a rare miss depending on who is cooking. Entirely casual dining. Front window table for 2 has great view of the harbor.
A great breakfast place for everyone! I would drive the 10 hours from home just for their strawberry french toast 🤤 Super duper friendly staff. We came here every day of our vacation for breakfast.
Delicious food and a wonderful view of the water. Good selection of beers. Pretty much the only breakfast place on the island. Lobster roll. Lobster melt. Lobster omelette.
Great staff and food!
Breakfast is very good, but food can be a little pricey depending on what you order.
So freshSo yummy Great service, Great PortionsGET THE PIE
If you are looking for no-fuss, inexpensive diner food, this place fits the bill. Nothing better than breakfast at the window seat, looking out at the harbor.
I had the haddock sandwich and onion rings. My wife ordered fish and chips. Seafood was fresh and delicious. Rings and fries were excellent. Great service.
Awesome and a great price. Even discount for military.
